Looking back at 2015

A year in photos... Also, welcome to my blog!

Boy, I am excited about 2016. I know this is a post looking back at this past year, but everything I have done for myself over the year is starting to come together. I can't wait to get back to more conceptual shoots, hopefully with some new talent. I am hoping to travel more this upcoming year, starting with a work trip to Florida in January (road trip style). And while I sit in a bookstore coffee shop trying not to buy any more books, I have a big stack of books to read to round out my trifecta of goals for the new year.

Now I would like to share some of my favorite personal moments of 2015. Check my Instagram over the next couple days for some of my favorite OK Photo images from the year!

Above: In May my "semi-iconic" image, The Smoker, was accepted into the MAAC Show at The Box Factory for the Arts in Saint Joseph, MI. I had lots of people stop me and ask me if I was the artist because they thought it was the best photograph in the show, or that it should have won!

Far Right: I saw some really amazing concerts in the latter half of the year. Some artists who I had been following for a while, and some who I had never heard of and started loving ever since. Highlights include: Zella Day, Ryn Weaver, ASTR, Holy Child, & Flint Eastwood

Right: In October, I fell for this little kitten love, Simon. He's been such an amazing addition to my life. As playful as they come, he brings me lots of joy!

Top Right: In the fall I started working at a coffee shop on the weekends, where I learned all about espresso and how to make the different kinds of drinks. Now I'm a bit of a coffee snob, no offense.

Center: I traveled to the Big Apple with my friend, Lauren. We stayed for a week with my cousin in Harlem. We snuck into a fashion week party, saw a fashion presentation in a warehouse, and I got a bar tap from a bartender. It was quite a trip, and I can't wait to go back!

Thank you for your support in 2015, and I will see you in 2016!
